With the announcement of DreamHack Valencia this morning, I bring you the results of what overall was an extremely impressive DreamHack series.
In our first 4 games we saw the following players eliminated ;
IdrA, HuK, NaNiwa and LucifroN.
This saw Thorzain, Hero, Rain and DRG moving forward to the semi finals.
Unfortunately, we then had to say goodbye to at least two of our dear pros in the semi-finals. Through endless ghost EMPs and seemingly perfect Baneling/Mutalisk macro, the unfortunate players who were beaten ; Hero and Rain.
This left Thorzain and DRG to battle it out in the finals, and what an epic PvT it was, game 1 consisting of an epic struggle for Thorzain going with a 2 base early expand which unfortunately was controlled incredibly well by DRG.
Game 2 consisted of Thorzain applying a relentless amount of pressure from Marines, Tanks and Medivacs, slowly spoon feeding his forces and winning the match over time. DRG almost coming back in the game but was way too far behind from an early hellion aggression that diminished the Drone line.
Game 3 began the same way game 2 started, DRG slowly being whittled down by Thorzain, but came back with a superb horde of Utralisks. Game 3 went to DRG in a shower of Thor parts and Marine blood.
Game 4 made me pretty much speechless, a constant harass by DRGs Mutas forced so many potential loses for Thorzain, but Thorzain constantly reacting perfectly with little to no units left. Eventually Thorzain prevailed with a similar outcome to game 3. 2-2.
Game 5, I couldn’t be any less silent the entire game, constant back and forth attacks with an eventual weakness being found by DRG in Thorzains base using… You guessed it, MORE MUTAS! But wow, such an amazing amount of control from the Banelings and Mutalisks. Nothing more to say then this, the winner, the one and only. DONGRAEGU!

CONGRATULATIONS DONGRAEGU! WE ALL LOVE YOU
